NSE4 – FortiGate Immersion
In this course, you are assigned a series of do-it-yourself (DIY) configuration tasks in a virtual lab environment. The configuration tasks cover some of the topics in the NSE 4 certification exam and include the use of the most common FortiGate features, such as firewall policies, the Fortinet Security Fabric, user authentication, SSL and IPsec VPNs, equal-cost multi-path (ECMP) routing, SD-WAN, high availability (HA), and content inspection.

The FortiGate Immersion course is primarily intended for network and security professionals who are involved in the administration, configuration, management, and monitoring of FortiGate devices used to protect enterprise networks.

The course is delivered as hands-on training in a virtual lab environment, where participants independently complete a series of configuration tasks (do-it-yourself labs). It focuses on key FortiGate features, including firewall policies, the object model, routing, NAT, VPN (SSL and IPsec), SD-WAN, high availability (HA), basic security profiles, as well as logging and monitoring.
Emphasis is placed on the practical understanding of real-world scenarios that administrators and security professionals encounter in production environments.

Prerequisites
Knowledge of the topics covered in the following courses, or equivalent hands-on experience is required:
- NSE 4 FortiGate Security
- NSE 4 FortiGate Infrastructure
Certificate
The FortiGate Immersion course helps reinforce the knowledge gained in the FortiGate Security and FortiGate Infrastructure courses. It also covers selected topics that are part of the Fortinet NSE 4 – FortiOS 7.6 certification exam.
The exam validates your practical knowledge of configuring, operating, and managing FortiGate devices in day-to-day environments. It includes operational scenarios, configuration examples, and troubleshooting records.

- Duration: 90 minutes
- Number of questions: 50–55
- Language: English
- Exam registration: The certification exam is delivered through Pearson VUE.
