Prerequisites
Understanding of the topics covered in the following courses, or have equivalent experience:
- NSE 4 FortiGate Security
- NSE 4 FortiGate Infrastructure
It is also recommended that you have an understanding of the following topics:
- HTTP protocol
- Basic knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and server-side dynamic page languages, such as PHP
Certification
The Fortinet NSE 6 – FortiWeb 6.4 certification exam validates the ability to deploy, configure, administer, and monitor FortiWeb devices to protect web application servers against threats. Upon successfully passing the exam, candidates receive an official certification badge confirming their expertise in managing and securing web applications using FortiWeb.

Technical requirements
If you take the online format of this class, you must use a computer that has the following:
- High-speed Internet connection
- Up-to-date web browser
- PDF viewer
- Speakers or headphones
- One of the following:
- HTML 5 support or
- Up-to-date Java runtime environment (JRE) with Java plugin enabled in your web browser
You should use a wired Ethernet connection, not a Wi-Fi connection. Firewalls, including Windows Firewall or FortiClient, must allow connections to the online labs.
