Why LPIC-3
The LPIC-3 certification is the culmination of the multi-level professional certification program of the Linux Professional Institute (LPI).
LPIC-3 is designed for the enterprise-level Linux professional and represents the highest level of professional, distribution-neutral Linux certification within the industry. Three separate LPIC-3 specialty certifications are available. Passing any one of the three exams will grant the LPIC-3 certification for that specialty.
LPIC-3 Enterprise Security is an intensive, lab-oriented training course for administrators and specialists who work with Linux and its applications. Its aim is to deepen their knowledge about the necessary and the most important aspects of Linux security.

In order to receive your LPIC-3 certification you must have an active LPIC-2 certification. However, you can take the LPIC-2 and LPIC-3 exams in any order. To successfully obtain your certification, you must have experience in installing and maintaining Linux.

Validity: 5 years
Requirements: Passing the LPIC3-303: Security exam. The 90-minute exam is 60 multiple-choice and fill-in-the-blank questions.
